About this site
This artificial reef off Durban features two sunken shipping containers, now encrusted with colorful corals and sponges. Schools of gamefish circle the structures while moray eels peek from crevices. Strong currents bring pelagics like kingfish and occasional ragged-tooth sharks. Visibility varies but often reaches 15 meters. The shallow depth makes it accessible for most divers. The containers create swim-throughs and interesting topography on the sandy bottom. Best dived in calm conditions.
