About this site
Contreras Ridge in Coiba National Park offers dramatic underwater topography with steep walls and rocky pinnacles. Strong currents attract large schools of jacks, barracuda, and occasional hammerhead sharks. The site teems with colorful reef fish, moray eels, and turtles. Visibility often exceeds 20 meters, with water temperatures around 26-29°C. The Pacific Ocean's nutrient-rich waters create vibrant coral and sponge growth. Ideal for drift diving, this site suits experienced divers due to its currents. The remote location ensures pristine conditions and abundant marine encounters.
