Coiba National Park sits off the Pacific coast of Panama's Veraguas province, an area protected for its coral reefs and surrounding open ocean waters. The Fridge lies within this marine park, accessible by boat from Coiba Island or nearby mainland departure points. Divers here have reported a varied reef fish community including black-nosed butterflyfish, blue-barred and redlip parrotfish, guineafowl and white-spotted puffers, king angelfish, orangeside triggerfish, rockmover wrasse, yellow snapper, and yellowfin surgeonfish.
