About this site

Coral Garden is a shallow reef just a short swim from Tulamben beach on the northeast coast of Bali, near the USAT Liberty wreck. It is a shore dive that suits all levels, with a maximum depth of about 18 to 20 m and an average of 10 m. The site is protected from strong currents, and conditions are usually calm and clear.

The reef is a gentle slope of hard and soft corals, scattered artificial structures and a garden of statues that feels like an underwater gallery. Gardens of anemones host dozens of clownfish, and coral bommies swarm with anthias and damselfish. A resting turtle is possible.

Moray eels and lionfish look out from crevices, and the occasional cuttlefish passes by. Garden eels and an occasional reef shark are also reported.
