About this site
Coral Garden Point lies along the southern coast of Sri Lanka near Galle, in a stretch of coastline dotted with bays and reef patches where small boats run out from local coastal towns to nearby reef areas. It sits over a reef bottom with a maximum depth of around 14 metres, making it a beginner dive. Divers have reported octopus, pufferfish, and squid around the reef, and there is some risk of coral damage, so care with buoyancy and fin placement is worth keeping in mind.
