About this site
Coral Gardens sits on Two Mile Reef off Sodwana Bay, on South Africa's KwaZulu-Natal coast within iSimangaliso Wetland Park. This coastline marks some of the southernmost coral reef development in the Indian Ocean, and Sodwana Bay is reached by boat launches through the surf from the shore. Two Mile Reef is one of the closer inshore reef systems dived from Sodwana, running roughly parallel to the beach. As a drift dive here, Coral Gardens reaches a maximum depth of around 13 metres, and despite that shallow depth it is rated an advanced dive.
