About this site
Cousins Rock sits off the coast of Santiago Island in the Galapagos archipelago, a small islet marking a submerged pinnacle site with a wall dropping to around 40 metres. It is known among Galapagos operators for black coral formations along the wall, and divers regularly encounter barracuda, eagle rays, hammerhead sharks, and manta rays, with seahorses tucked into the coral. Octopus have also been spotted here from time to time. Despite the exposed position in the archipelago, the site is rated a beginner dive over its wall terrain.
