About this site
Santiago Island sits in the central Galapagos archipelago, separated from Santa Cruz by the Itabaca Channel and often visited on boat itineraries that also take in Bartolome and Rabida. The waters around it are volcanic in origin, with lava formations both above and below the surface shaping the coastline.
