About this site
Cova Do Sono lies within the Berlengas archipelago off Peniche on Portugal's west coast, a small group of granite islands protected as a nature reserve and reached by boat from the mainland. The site follows the rocky coastline into a cave formed where the granite drops into the Atlantic. It reaches a maximum depth of around 12 metres and is rated a beginner dive, making it accessible for those exploring the archipelago's reefs and caves without needing advanced experience.
