D' Wall

Mataking is a small island off the southeastern coast of Sabah, near Semporna, on Borneo's east coast facing the Celebes Sea. D' Wall refers to a drop-off site along the island's reef edge, in the same general diving area as Mabul, Kapalai, and Sipadan, within the Coral Triangle region known for its reef structure and steep drop-offs. Divers on this wall have reported green sea turtles and small giant clams along the reef, with reef fish such as Moorish idols, regal angelfish, blacklip butterflyfish, and ocellaris anemonefish among the sightings. Macro life has also been noted here, including Anna's and Willan's chromodoris nudibranchs, blue linckia sea stars, and green barrel sea squirts scattered across the drop-off.
