Daedalus

Daedalus Reef, also known as Abu Kizan, is an isolated reef in the Red Sea off the coast of Egypt's Al Bahr al Ahmar governorate, marked by a lighthouse and reached only by liveaboard due to its distance offshore. It rises steeply from deep water on all sides, with walls dropping well beyond recreational limits, and it is a well known destination for encounters with oceanic whitetip sharks and hammerhead sharks in season. The site is generally considered suited to experienced divers because of its exposed position and the open water current that can sweep along its walls. Depths on the reef flat are shallow, but the surrounding drop offs extend far past sport diving depths.
