About this site
Daravandhoo is an island in Baa Atoll, in the Maldives, part of an atoll known for its network of channels and reef systems on the western side of the archipelago and designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The reef here tops out at a shallow maximum of around 6 metres, making it a beginner dive typically reached by boat from resorts and guesthouses in the area. Divers have reported ghost pipefish, leaf scorpionfish, and scorpionfish tucked into the reef, along with grouper and snapper, and manta rays have also been spotted passing through.
