Darwin Bay

Darwin Bay sits inside the flooded caldera of Genovesa Island, one of the northernmost islands in the Galapagos archipelago. The bay forms a horseshoe-shaped cove with steep cliffs, and boats typically anchor inside to access dive and snorkel sites along its walls and the surrounding shoreline. The diving here is shallow, reaching only around 4 metres, and is rated a beginner site. Divers have reported hammerhead sharks, mola mola, sea turtles, stingrays, tuna, and even whale sharks passing through, though such encounters are not a given on every dive.
