About this site
Dedalos is a reef dive site off Agia Pelagia, a coastal resort area on the north coast of Crete within Dimos Maleviziou near Heraklion, typically reached by a short boat trip from the local harbor. The coastline here is marked by rocky headlands and coves along the Cretan Sea, and the reef bottom at this site reaches a maximum depth of around 36 metres, though it is rated a beginner dive overall. Divers have reported octopus here, and there have even been reports of hammerhead shark sightings, though those remain unusual for the area.
