About this site
Made lies at Ligaria, a small bay on the Cretan Sea coast just north of Heraklion in the Maleviziou municipality of Crete. The shoreline here is rocky in places and popular with local swimmers, with the site itself a beginner dive reaching a maximum depth of around 15 metres. Divers have also reported a whale shark passing through the area, though it's not the kind of sighting to expect on a typical visit.
