About this site
Deep Corner lies within Meemu Atoll, one of the central atolls of the Maldives, along the outer reef edge where the atoll drops toward open channel water. It is a wreck dive with a maximum depth of around 16 metres, rated beginner and sitting over a bottom of wreck debris. Garden eels, grouper, and manta rays are all found here, with batfish also spotted by divers. The wreck's metal structures protrude in places and are worth watching for, and some divers have noted sediment disturbance around the site. As with most sites in this part of the atoll chain, it is reached by dhoni or liveaboard rather than from any large town.
