About this site
Dehegila Point lies along the coast of Morotai Island, in the Maluku archipelago of eastern Indonesia. Morotai sits north of Halmahera and was a significant World War II staging area, and its surrounding waters are dotted with points and shoals reached by small boat from the island's coastal settlements.
