Desert Tortoise is a named dive site in Lake Pleasant, a reservoir on the Agua Fria River north of Phoenix, Arizona, formed behind Waddell Dam and reached by boat from one of the marinas around the recreation area. The site drops to a maximum depth of around 61 metres, and it is rated a technical dive, putting it well beyond the shallower rock formations and debris sites more commonly visited near the lake's edges.
