About this site
Lake Pleasant is a reservoir north of Phoenix, Arizona, formed by the Waddell Dam on the Agua Fria River. The original Waddell Dam structure was submerged when the lake was enlarged in the 1990s with the construction of the New Waddell Dam, and remnants of the older dam and the flooded terrain around it now lie underwater within the reservoir.
