About this site
The Destin Jetties are a rock structure located in Destin, Florida, on the Emerald Coast, and serve as one of the area's accessible underwater destinations for both snorkelers and scuba divers. The site is reached by boat, and the jetty rocks form the core of the dive and snorkel area.
Conditions at the Destin Jetties are well suited to beginners, with calm, protected water, light current, and good visibility. The bottom is rocky, following the line of the jetty structure, and the sheltered nature of the site keeps the environment manageable for less experienced swimmers and divers.
The jetty rocks hold a solid variety of marine life, with fish, crabs, stingrays, and turtles regularly seen by snorkelers moving along the rocks. Dolphins are commonly spotted from the surface during the boat transit to and from the site.
