About this site
This site lies off the Calvados coast of Normandy, in the waters near the D-Day landing beaches on France's English Channel shoreline, an area holding numerous wartime wrecks from the 1944 invasion and reachable by boat from ports along this stretch of coast. Despite its name, it is classed here as a reef site, with a maximum depth of around 15 metres. Divers have reported nudibranchs and wrasse on the site.
