About this site
Dolphin Rock sits near Bastimentos Island within the Bocas del Toro archipelago on Panama's Caribbean coast, an area of mangrove channels, coral patches, and small rocky outcrops between the islands. Bastimentos itself forms part of the Bastimentos Island National Marine Park, and the site is typically reached by short boat rides from the town of Bocas del Toro. The dive here runs over a rocky bottom to a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated advanced, with surge and swell reported around the rock. Nurse sharks are a regular sight at the site, and divers have also reported parrotfish among the rocks.
