About this site
Double Caves lies off San Salvador in the Bahamas, a small island on the eastern edge of the archipelago where the shallow carbonate platform drops quickly into deep Atlantic water. The site is a cave dive, cut into the island's limestone, and is rated advanced. The existing note about the Little Bahama Bank and Grand Bahama region refers to a different part of the archipelago further northwest, since San Salvador sits well out on its own bank to the east, isolated by deep water on all sides.
