Double Reef

Double Reef is a shore dive in Willemstad, Curaçao, off Pater Euwensweg in Otrabanda. It sits next to the wreck of the MV Superior Producer, with shore access close to the Water Factory dive site. The name comes from its two reefs, a smaller shallow one followed by a sandy area and then a larger reef plateau.

The first reef slopes down to about 14 m (46 ft), where it gives way to a sandy bottom. From there you can see the second reef, which starts around 18 m (60 ft) and drops to 30 m (100 ft) and deeper. The second reef holds most of the action.

Turtles are the main attraction. You will also find hard and soft corals, plenty of green and spotted moray eels, cowfish, angelfish, tangs, urchins, puffers and anemones. A mangrove edge is part of the shoreline here.
