Drop Off sits in Bali's Nusa Penida area, a wall dive reaching a maximum depth of around 60 metres, rated a beginner site with light current and good visibility. The wall drops steeply from shallow reef into open water over a wall bottom, and divers have reported downcurrents during tidal shifts along the drop. The reef holds angelfish, clownfish, frogfish, leaf scorpionfish, mantis shrimp, humphead wrasse, nudibranchs, octopus, pufferfish, scorpionfish, trevally, triggerfish, and tuna. Divers have also reported barracuda, bumphead parrotfish, damselfish, eagle rays, fusiliers, ghost pipefish, grouper, lionfish, manta rays, mola mola, moray eels, nurse sharks, pipefish, pygmy seahorses, reef sharks, seahorses, squid, and stonefish here. The presence of mola mola ties this site to the seasonal upwellings the Nusa Penida region is known for, drawing divers hoping to spot the ocean sunfish in deeper, cooler water along the drop.
