Eel Gardens

Eel Gardens lies along the northeast coast of Bali, near Amed, in the same general stretch of shoreline as the island's better known Tulamben dive sites, where black volcanic sand slopes run down from shore into the Bali Sea. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 40 metres and is rated a beginner dive with light current and great visibility. Garden eels, grouper, and tuna are consistently found on the site, and divers have also reported barracuda, clownfish, napoleon wrasse, nudibranchs, octopus, parrotfish, reef sharks, scorpionfish, sea turtles, trevally, and triggerfish.
