About this site
El Cabron is a marine reserve on the southeastern coast of Gran Canaria, near Arinaga, in the Canary Islands, where a volcanic shoreline gives way to a rocky reef bottom reaching a maximum depth of around 24 metres. It's rated an advanced dive, and entry and exit have been described as difficult, typically down a short walk from the coastal path near the point. Barracuda and grouper are regularly found here, and divers have also reported eagle rays, stingrays, moray eels, octopus, and seahorses, along with damselfish, garden eels, jacks, nudibranchs, parrotfish, pufferfish, and wrasse.
