About this site
Encanto II lies in the Gulf of Mexico off the northwest coast of Cuba, in open water beyond Pinar del Río province, along the maritime approach toward the Yucatan Channel. Divers here have reported a reef community built around boulder star, great star, lobed star, and mountainous star corals alongside massive starlet coral, giving the site a hard-coral structure. Atlantic blue tang and black triggerfish have also been spotted moving over the reef, along with stoplight parrotfish grazing the coral surfaces.
