About this site
The Galéasson (Épave du Galéasson) is the remains of a mid-19th-century wooden sailing merchant vessel, probably a brig or schooner of no more than about 25 m, lying off the east coast of Porquerolles at 25 m. Frames, planking and copper sheathing are still visible along with part of the cargo. The site is sheltered and easy, but it lies inside the national park core, so diving requires the park's authorisation and diver numbers are capped.
