Faros sits off Zakynthos, one of the Ionian Islands in western Greece, named for a lighthouse marking the point along the island's coastline. The site is a cave dive reaching a maximum depth of around 12 metres and is rated beginner. Divers have reported darkness inside the cave along with swell noise and compression effects as conditions to be aware of. It is typically reached by boat from harbors on Zakynthos, in keeping with the rocky terrain characteristic of the Ionian shoreline.
