About this site
Farun Island lies near the tip of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt, in the Gulf of Aqaba close to Taba. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 10 metres over a reef bottom and is considered a beginner dive. Divers have reported barracuda, Napoleon wrasse, parrotfish, and tuna around the reef, and some have also noted caves, a deeper wall, and stretches of strong current nearby.
