About this site
Flinders Reef lies within the Moreton Bay Marine Park, off Moreton Island near Brisbane, Queensland, a coral outcrop reached by boat from the Brisbane area or from Moreton Island itself. It's a beginner dive to around 18 metres over a reef bottom. Manta rays are a regular sighting here, and divers have also reported batfish, leopard and zebra sharks, parrotfish, sea turtles, surgeonfish, sweetlips, trevally, whales, wobbegongs, and wrasse around the site.
