About this site
Fulangu Kandu is a channel dive site in Gaafu Alif Atoll, part of the Huvadhoo Atoll system in the southern Maldives, where a pass cuts through the reef between the open ocean and the inner atoll lagoon. Channel sites in this region typically funnel water through the reef with tidal movement, which is what draws divers to them. Eagle rays have been spotted moving through the channel here. Gaafu Alif is less visited than the central Maldivian atolls, with access mostly by liveaboard.
