Gala Pita Gala sits off the southern coast of Sri Lanka, in the coastal waters near Weligama on the island's south shore, and is typically reached by boat from small fishing and dive harbors in the area. It reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is generally rated an intermediate dive. Divers here have reported blue-ringed octopus, lionfish, manta rays, nudibranchs, and stingrays.
