Glass Reef

Moheli is one of the islands of the Comoros archipelago, sitting in the Mozambique Channel between Madagascar and the African mainland. Glass Reef lies within the waters of the Mohéli Marine Park, an area known for its coral reefs and marine turtle populations, with dive sites reached by boat from the island's coastal villages. Divers here have reported a mix of small reef species, including blacksaddle tobies, brown pygmy angelfish, crown squirrelfish, dusky surgeonfish, iridescent cardinalfish, sixline wrasse, whitelip morays, and yellow and whitestriped pygmygobies, suggesting a reef built more around small, colorful life than big pelagics.
