Magic Rocks

Magic Rocks lies off the coast of Moheli, an island in the Comoros archipelago in the Mozambique Channel between Madagascar and mainland Africa. Moheli sits within a marine park established to protect surrounding reef and turtle nesting grounds, and dive sites along its coastline are typically reached by small boat from villages on the island. Divers here have reported a range of small reef species, including blacklip butterflyfish, blacksaddle tobies, brown pygmy angelfish, nalolo blennies, rubble dwarfgobies, sixline wrasse, whitelip morays, and yellow and whitestriped pygmygobies, suggesting a site suited to close, unhurried looks at the rubble and rock structure rather than big open-water action.
