About this site
The Wanshan Islands lie off the coast of Zhuhai in Guangdong province, in the Pearl River estuary south of the mainland and southwest of Hong Kong. This archipelago sits at the mouth of the Pearl River where it meets the South China Sea, an area shaped by heavy river sediment outflow. Zhuhai's city government administers the islands as part of the broader Wanshan district. The dive site here reaches a maximum depth of around 25 metres and is rated an intermediate reef dive.
