About this site
Habili Ghadir is a submerged reef pinnacle in Egypt's Red Sea, situated off the country's coast at approximately 24.84 N, 35.12 E, in the offshore waters south of the main Marsa Alam dive area. As a habili, it rises from deeper water without breaking the surface, which is typically why such reefs are dived by boat with careful positioning over the pinnacle. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is considered an intermediate dive over a reef bottom. Divers have reported current and surge here, so positioning around the pinnacle matters. Fusiliers, octopus, parrotfish, scorpionfish, trevally, and tuna have also been reported around the reef.
