About this site
A vibrant dive site off Valentia Island, teeming with marine life in the Atlantic. Dramatic rock formations create swim-throughs and overhangs, home to colorful sponges, anemones, and crustaceans. Schools of pollock and wrasse dart among the kelp forests. Strong currents bring nutrient-rich waters, attracting larger species like seals and occasional basking sharks. Visibility varies but often reaches 10 meters. Suitable for intermediate divers due to occasional surge. The rocky seabed slopes to 18 meters, offering diverse microhabitats. Best dived at slack tide for calmer conditions. Nearby reefs add exploration options.
