About this site
Hedley Reef sits in the Great Barrier Reef's Coral Sea, offering vibrant coral gardens and steep drop-offs. Expect encounters with reef sharks, turtles, and schools of tropical fish. The clear waters provide excellent visibility, often exceeding 30 meters. Currents can be strong, making it ideal for drift diving. Hard and soft corals thrive here, creating a colorful underwater landscape. Suitable for all experience levels, with shallow areas for beginners and deeper sections for advanced divers. The reef's structure attracts pelagic species, adding excitement to every dive. Water temperatures stay warm year-round, averaging 24-29°C.
