About this site
Hiru Thila is a thila, a submerged reef pinnacle rising from the atoll floor within Baa Atoll, a UNESCO biosphere reserve in the Maldives known for its reef systems and channels linking the atoll interior to open water. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres, typical of these pinnacle dives where the structure rises from deeper water toward the surface. Baa Atoll's thilas are usually reached by boat from nearby resorts or liveaboards operating in the area.
