About this site
HMS Pandora rests off the far northern Queensland coast near the outer Great Barrier Reef, in the Coral Sea. The ship was a Royal Navy frigate sent in 1790 to capture the Bounty mutineers, and it wrecked on a reef here in 1791 while returning to England. The site sits at a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is considered an intermediate dive.
