About this site
Hot Springs lies along the coast of Saba, a small volcanic island in the Caribbean Netherlands known for steep underwater terrain that mirrors the island's dramatic topside cliffs. The site takes its name from geothermal vents that release warm water and bubbles through the volcanic rock and sand on the seabed. Saba's dive sites are typically reached by boat from the harbor area, and the island's coastline is protected as part of the Saba Marine Park. Divers here have reported Atlantic blue tang and Brazilian ocean surgeonfish moving over coral growth that includes boulder star, greater star, mountainous star, mustard hill, and symmetrical brain coral.
