Hp Reef

HP Reef, also known as Rainbow Reef, sits in North Male Atoll near Girifushi in Kaafu Atoll, Maldives. It is a well known thila dive, a coral pinnacle rising from deeper water that tops out well below the surface and is reached by boat from the Male area. The site is known for its overhangs and soft coral growth along the walls, with divers commonly reporting encounters with reef sharks, eagle rays, and schools of fusiliers and snapper along the current-facing edges. Depths on the plateau and slopes typically run from around 10 to 30 metres. Current can be brisk over the thila, which is why it is generally considered a dive better suited to those with some experience.
