About this site
Ikeda Koya (池田小屋) is a boat-dived reef off Tanegashima in Kagoshima Prefecture, about 40 minutes by boat, with a maximum depth of 5 m. There is little current and coral covers the rock completely, giving 360 degrees of coral. Through summer bluespotted cornetfish hunt silver-stripe round herring here, and the gaps in the coral hold varied macro life. Suitable from beginner level.
