Ilhéu Negro is a small islet off Faial in the Azores archipelago of Portugal, part of the volcanic chain that defines this mid-Atlantic island group. Diving in the waters around Faial's islets typically requires a boat trip from the coast, given the exposed open-ocean setting of the Azores.
