About this site
This dive site off São Miguel's coast features dramatic volcanic rock formations and vibrant marine life. Expect clear Atlantic waters with visibility often exceeding 20 meters. Schools of barracuda and triggerfish patrol the area while moray eels hide in crevices. The sloping reef transitions to sand at 18 meters, perfect for spotting stingrays. Currents can be moderate, making it ideal for drift diving. Water temperatures range from 17-24°C depending on season. The site's accessibility from shore makes it popular with local divers.
