Illa de Formentor sits off the northern tip of the Formentor peninsula on Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, marking the point where the Bay of Pollença meets the open Mediterranean. The area is known for its steep limestone cliffs and rocky coastline, reached by boat from harbours such as Port de Pollença.
