About this site
Ios is one of the Cyclades islands in the Notio Aigaio region of the southern Aegean Sea, in Greece. A wreck rests off its coast at these coordinates, sitting on a wreck bottom with a maximum depth of around 12 metres, making it a beginner dive. Divers have reported grouper, lionfish, and octopus around the site. Shore entry and exit can be difficult when the water is rough, which fits with the Cyclades' exposure to strong seasonal winds like the meltemi that shape conditions for boats and divers alike in the area.
