About this site
Blinded by smoke from forest fires, the Pickands ran firmly onto Sawtooth Reef. A few days later a gale broke her in half, and she eventually went to pieces. Boilers and more are located high on the reef, with more in deeper water nearby. Lies in about 9.1 m; sank 1894.
